High Desert Band to play at Roseberry

The High Desert Band will be featured at Roseberry's Wednesday Night Concert at 6pm at the Valley County Museum located one mile east of Donnelly on Farm to Market Road. The Wednesday night concerts are family friendly, and the Roseberry General Store will be open until 8pm for drinks, snacks and ice cream. For more info call 208-325-5000.

Local Teacher on Space Shuttle Wednesday

This Wednesday, August 7, local McCall resident and teacher Barbara Morgan will be launched into space aboard Space Shuttle Endeavour. Scheduled to launch at 6:30pm Eastern Daylight Time, Ms. Morgan will fulfill a dream of decades of waiting and preparation. "I want to go on the space shuttle; I want to get some stardust," Barbara Morgan wrote on her application to NASA in 1985 when she dreamed of becoming an astronaut. It's taken more than two decades, but she's about to get her chance. Don't miss this spectacular event -- and hope to see you at one of the local "Shuttle" parties in McCall!
